Born in Chattanooga, I've lived in four SEC towns and can confidently state that Athens is by far the best, even after conference expansion.
I am an adept home cook, love to read, and am obsessed with my British Lab, Stagger Lee. Like every other professional writer, I am also currently writing a book.
I fell into journalism after dropping out of grad school when working at UGA's college and then public radio stations. For over 20 years I've reported on local and state politics, people and events in Georgia, Mississippi and Tennessee. In 2020, I pivoted to working full-time for a healthcare marketing agency as a copywriter. Now freelance, I am open to all kinds of writing assignments.
